Villa de Hempstead Condominiums — Hempstead, NY

This project involved the construction of a condominium complex, which consisted of a 4-story building with cellar located in Hempstead, New York.

Galli Engineering, P.C. was retained to design the structural elements of this project, which included footing design, steel column and beam design, connections and floor designs. Galli Engineering prepared Construction Drawings for the structural elements of the project and ultimately submitted the documents to the Hempstead Building Department for approval.

Galli Engineering, P.C. was further retained to provide construction management, construction support services and controlled inspections for the structural aspects of this project. Duties included the structural oversight of the general contractor and his subcontractors. Additionally, Galli was responsible for the structural controlled inspections for this project, which included the inspection of footings, welding, fire stops, structural stability, compaction testing, concrete mix, concrete cylinders and final inspection. The project is currently approximately 80% completed.

Upon completion of the construction, Galli Engineering will prepare final "As Built" drawings addressing the differences between the design and field installation.
